Completing an Approval Step in TDNext
Completing an Approval Step in the Client Portal
You will receive an email notification from UD Services (services@udel.edu). Click the link in the email to open the request.
The link in the email will take you to the Client Portal, so if you’d prefer to view the request in TDNext, make sure you are viewing the ticket Details page and not the Current Workflow Step page. Click the To TDNext button under the ticket title and Service Request ID.
Review the request Details, Feed, and Approval Step assigned to you.
The Approval Step displays on the right side of the page under Current Activities.
Under the Approval Step, you can see the assigned approver’s name (e.g., a specific person or team - Identity Access Management)
Click Approve or Reject. Note: If you reject an Approval Step, it does not reject the request, only the step. A prompt displays where you can add an optional comment. Click Save whether or not you add a comment.
The comment displays in the Feed along with your choice of Approve or Reject.
Only TDNext users of the Tickets application are able to view comments entered after approving or rejecting. No notifications are sent to any contacts within the request. These comments are hidden from the Requester.
If you need to send a comment to the Requester or other stakeholders, post a new comment to the Feed and add their name in the Notify field.
