To effectively manage UD’s usage of the storage space allotted by our contract with Microsoft (M365), UDIT is implementing storage limits on Microsoft services. These limits will supersede the data caps that will be put in place to mitigate UD’s Microsoft storage growth on February 27, 2024. In determining these new limits, we considered the educational, research, and business needs of the institution. The table below defines each M365 service and its corresponding limits.
Storage Limits
The limits that supersede the February 27 data caps will be enforced according to this timeline. Accounts that are currently under these limits will not be impacted by the storage limit unless a limit is exceeded in the future (in which case the impacted service will automatically go into a read-only state).
