What is it?

Eduroam (education roaming) is the UD Wi-Fi network (SSID) students, faculty, and staff should use. The network's level of encryption allows for protected access to confidential, critical information (i.e., PII). Eduroam is a secure, worldwide network developed for the international research and education community. Eduroam provides per-user, per-session encrypted network access at any eduroam-enabled campus for users coming from any other eduroam-enabled campus.

Where to get it?

You can use these directions to set up eduroam on your computer or device. If you are not able to connect to eduroam, click on the Request Service button and complete the request form. The Support Center will provide assistance.

How to use it?

Use eduroam to connect to UD Wi-Fi.

Because the University of Delaware is a member of the eduroam network,

  • UD students, faculty, and staff can easily connect to the Wi-Fi network at another eduroam institution without the need to gain guest credentials on arrival.
  • Students, faculty, and staff visiting UD's campus from other eduroam institutions can connect to our Wi-Fi network without the need to gain guest credentials on arrival.
Eduroam Acceptable Use Policy
By using eduroam, you agree to abide by the the eduroam Acceptable Use Policy. When you connect to eduroam outside of the United States, your encrypted and secured data may be transferred to third parties, including countries and jurisdictions around the world, in order to provide eduroam services
