What is it?
The University of Delaware Secure Computing (UDSecCom) Enclave is a secure, cloud-based research environment designed to support University of Delaware (UD) research projects involving controlled information. This includes information subject to protection requirements such as:
- Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
- Export Controlled (ITAR / EAR) information
- Federal data which requires NIST SP 800-171 level of protection
- Other UD Classified Level 3 research data, as approved by CUI Manager
Where to get it?
Requests for the creation or modification of UDSecCom projects and user accounts must be submitted by a Principal Investigator via UDSecCom Project Request forms available on this page.
All users must complete mandatory training, pass background checks, and in some cases meet U.S. Citizenship requirements depending on the data classification and sponsor requirements.
How to use it?
The UD SecCom Project Request form supports the following actions:
- Create a new project in UDSecCom
- Modify an existing project's computing resources in UDSecCom
- Make Software Requests for UDSecCom
- Add or remove users from a project
- Request UDSecCom Firewall Expections
- General Help Requests for UDSecCom
- Report a Security Concern in UDSecCom
What are the charges, options & fees?
Annual Licensing Cost: $2,200 per user (Estimated) Starting in FY27*
Monthly Compute Costs: Variable, based on usage
- Estimated range: $50 to > $500 per month
Additional Costs: May apply for storage, specialized services, or extended support
