When signing in to UD resources using a VPN connection, you are required to use 2FA.
Faculty, staff, and students who log in to Copland from off-campus are required to use a VPN connection.
Verify that vpn-chp.nss.udel.edu appears in the connection field. Click Connect.
On the login dialog box, use the Group menu to select the UDEL-VPN group.
Log in using your UDelNet Username, UDelNet password, and 2FA code. Use the 2FA code as the Second Password. Do not include @udel.edu with your Username.
Google Authenticator is the recommended method of acquiring a 2FA code for use with the AnyConnect VPN client.
You can also acquire a 2FA code without Google Authenticator.
If there is an updated version of the AnyConnect client software, it will automatically download to your computer after you log in. During the download, you will see a dialog box like this one, keeping you apprised of the download progress:
AnyConnect will automatically connect you to the UD VPN server.
While you are running the Cisco AnyConnect client software, all network connections to UD proceed through a secure "tunnel," giving you secure access to UD resources from off campus or from unsecured wireless networks. Your other network activities (for example, using a web browser to view a non-UD website) are unaffected.
The AnyConnect client will allow you to retain your VPN connection during brief outages (for example, your tablet going to sleep, or moving your laptop from office to office).
After you connect to the UD VPN for the first time on your computer, you can start the AnyConnect VPN from the taskbar.
