Who can use it?
Any staff or faculty who needs to put through a student job card in Talent Link. This form is optional.
What is it?
The Talent Link Student Job Card Intake form is used to collect key information about a student position and confirm approvals to enter the role into our applicant tracking system.
How to use it?
Before you Begin:
Determine the payment type and amount.
- If the payment type is hourly, the hourly rate should meet or exceed the minimum wage requirement of $15.00.
- If the payment type is stipend and an approved SFC code already exists for the program/assignment, consult your HRG to obtain the correct code.
- If the payment type is stipend and changes are being made to the work or amount paid of an existing program/assignment, submit the FLSA Evaluation Form.
- If the payment type is stipend and this is a new program/assignment, submit the FLSA Evaluation form. If approved, a SFC code will be assigned.

Completing the Form:
- Fill out all required fields.
- The form includes smart logic that tailors questions based on the selected search type.
- After the supervisor approves the form, the appropriate person from the Hub will be notified.
- If necessary, a member of the Hub should add the appropriate financial contact for notification.
- Once approved, the originator of the form will put the job into Talent Link.
Routing Process:
Once submitted, the form will route through the following approval chain:
Department Representative (if applicable) → Supervisor → notify Hub → add appropriate financial representative (if applicable) for approval
