Who can use it?
Students, Faculty, Staff
UD faculty, staff and students who currently use the UD Exchange email and calendar system but need to move to Google for email and calendaring.
Typical reasons for migration are officially retiring from UD, ending student employment, and departmental email and calendar requirements.
What is it?
UDIT can remotely migrate Microsoft Exchange accounts to Google upon request.
What you need to know about the migration:
- Your Exchange email will be transferred to UD GMail. UDIT cannot guarantee successful transfer of your Exchange calendar to Google but will attempt to do so. Contacts cannot be migrated.
- There must be enough space in your UD Google account to accommodate your migrated Exchange account.
- After your account has migrated, you will no longer be able to access shared calendars on the UD Exchange system, and you will no longer be able to access calendars in Microsoft Teams.
- Google throttles data transfers, and account migrations can take a long time, even days. UD cannot control the migration speed.
Where to get it?
Click on the Request Service button to request that your Exchange account be migrated to Google.
How to use it?
After your account has migrated, you can access your migrated account at https://googleapps.udel.edu
What are the charges, options & fees?
All individual migrations, including retirees, new hires, other status changes, and moves for preference can be made without charge.
Note: Due to the nature of multi-person and department migrations, a Technology Request form must be submitted to accurately determine needs and resource requirements.
