Commercial Platforms
- The Office of Communications and Marketing digital team currently supports MailChimp. MailChimp provides detailed data about subscriber profiles (engagement, website activity) as well as tools to view the impact of your campaigns.
- People who need to use MailChimp at UD must use a paid-for MailChimp account, and that all persons using the Mailchimp account have set up 2FA for their MailChimp accounts. Special instructions for using UD email addresses with External Email Services must be followed to successfully send messages form MailChimp at UD.
- Some departments have communications staff who have access to MailChimp and may be willing to send messages on your behalf.
- MailChimp's list management features are also compatible with the US CAN-SPAM Act.
Campus Resources
The University provides many options for communicating with groups of people. See Mailing Lists at UD for detailed information about your options. Note: the options listed below do not provide tracking data.
Do not send mass email messages through individual Google and Microsoft Exchange accounts, including shared mailboxes.
Google and Microsoft will shut down individual accounts that they detect are sending mass messages.
