LaTeX UDThesis Styles for Graduate Theses and Dissertations

The UDThesis styles are designed to format theses and dissertations according to the regulations specified by the University of Delaware Office of Graduate and Professional Education. Beginning June 1, 2024, the UDThesis Styles are no longer maintained or updated by IT and are only provided as a self-service with support from the Graduate College.

Note: Make sure to check for the latest names and titles for the signatures in your document. You must change these manually which will likely require you to edit the udthesis.cls file after downloaded below to have the correct name and title for Dean of the Graduate College.

To get started, click to download the LaTeX UDThesis Guidelines.

Note: All LaTeX heading styles are numbered decimally within chapters, there is no unnumbered option.

  1. Download the LaTeX common base files and class file:
  2. Download both the main.tex and tap.tex base files for the appropriate degree and copy them into the udthesis-base-files directory or folder.
