G Suite: Configure your iPhone or iPad for G Suite at UD

Use these steps to add your G Suite at UD account to your iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Select Mail, and then select Accounts.
  3. Select Add Account.
  4. Select Google. Tap Continue to allow the Google sign in.
  5. Type your full UD email address, and tap Next.
  6. You will be directed to the standard University of Delaware Google Apps login page. Type your UDelNetID (first part of your email address) and your UDelNetID password. Tap Log in.
    • (Note: The iPhone may capitalize your email address or password. You can tell this is happening if the SHIFT key on the virtual keyboard is lit. If the first character should not be capitalized, tap the SHIFT key to turn it off then type your email address or password.)
  7. If prompted, provide your 2fa code, check the Remember this browser box, and tap Log in.
  8. You will be given a choice of which Google services to sync to the iPhone or iPad. If you're only interested in mail, make sure that is the only service you turn on.
  9. Select Save.

Note: If, during setup, you receive an error that “Safari was unable to connect to the site because of too many redirects,”

  1. Go to Setting - Safari.
  2. Turn the Prevent Cross-Site Tracking toggle to off.

You can also use the GMail app to access your UD GMail account on your iPhone or iPad.
