ISIR: Duplicate ID, FAFSA Assigned To The Wrong ID

Issue:

A student's FAFSA was assigned to the wrong ID in PeopleSoft.

Context:

The student had two IDs in PeopleSoft. The Registrar has already identified which ID is inactive/incorrect and which should remain active going forward. The FAFSA, however, was assigned to the old/incorrect ID.

Resolution:

The FAFSA can be reprocessed and reassigned to the correct ID.

Navigation: Menu > Financial Aid > File Management > ISIR Import > 20XX-20XX Suspense Management

  • Search for the EMPLID currently associated with the FAFSA.

  • In the ISIR Manual Load Parameters, update the EMPLID to the correct ID.

  • Check the box for ID Lock.

  • Select the radio button for Add ISIR.

  • Click Process ISIR.



To confirm the process was successful, review the View Financial Aid Status page for the active ID. The student’s SAI status should now display as Official.
