Admiral is the desktop computer maintenance provider selected by the University of Delaware. Admiral accepts requests for annual departmental maintenance contracts. They also offer "time and material" repair service. You can obtain Service Contract forms and price lists at the Procurement Services' Web site.
You may call in equipment maintenance requests to Admiral at 1-800-225-1187 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The standard response time for maintenance is 8 hours; however, a 4-hour response is available for an extra charge. Departments who contract for a 4-hour response should state that when calling in a maintenance request. All non-contract maintenance will be done on a time and material basis. Types of service
Several types of service are offered by Admiral Computer Solutions:
On-site maintenance—This level of service will be provided for all University-owned equipment. At this level, an Admiral Field Engineer will be dispatched to the site/desk where the equipment is located, and repairs will be completed at that time. All equipment is eligible for this service, and each department will determine whether or not they wish to participate. You will be billed a fixed monthly charge per system. Response time is on a next-day basis. However, we anticipate that many calls for service under this program will be resolved/responded to the same day that a call is placed. Hours of coverage are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding standard holidays. Prices are based on a 12-month contract and take into consideration the fact that there will be periods during which the equipment may not be in use.

Time and material repairs
Time and material services—This service level will be made available to all departments within the University who choose not to participate in the on-site maintenance contract option. Time and material service provides on-site service by an Admiral Field Engineer with billing based on the actual amount of time and the cost of parts required to fix the problem.

How to place a service call
Once you have placed the equipment under a maintenance contract or if you wish to request time and material service, call 1-800-225-1187 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you do not have a contract, make sure you request time and material service. The dispatcher will ask for your name, department, and the serial number and location of the equipment. Please be sure to have this information ready. Admiral will accept your UD Credit Card for payment.
