Notes about Google Drive at UD

• Your Google workspace account has a storage limit, and data you store in Google Workspace counts against this storage limit.
• If you have two Google Workspace accounts, for example one at google.com and one at Google Workspace at UD, you can use both accounts at drive.google.com (Google Drive in the "cloud"), but you can only use the Google Drive desktop client with one of your Google accounts (e.g., Google Workspace at UD or standard google.com). • When you store information at drive.google.com (Google Drive online), you are storing information "in the cloud" at an off-campus facility. For most student work and much collaborative work, that is not a major issue. However, we urge UD employees to consider privacy issues, Federal laws, and grant restrictions before storing any personal or UD data on a non-UD server. • If you have chosen not to use the Google Drive for desktop application, you can use still Google Drive at UD Google Workspace.
  
  
   
  • If you click the triangle next to My Drive, you'll see a list of your folders.
  • If you click Shared with me, you'll see a list of the folders and documents others have shared with you.
  • If you click Shared drives, you will see a list of shared Google drive you have access to.
  • You can download Google Drive for desktop later if you want to use the desktop client to back up your work or sync some of your files to Google Drive.
