Requesting FISAP System Updates/Patches

Context

We run our FISAP report in the QA PeopleSoft environment. However the QA environment is not 1 to 1 with the normal production environment/updated with the most recent information. Before the FISAP reporting process begins we need to send a request to IT to update the QA environment and apply the FISAP specific patches (PRP). The PRP is what makes sure the FISAP report is using the newest setup.

Steps

  1. Around July - August monitor the PeopleSoft patch release schedule to identify when the the FISAP specific PRP is released. This can typically be found on My Oracle Support: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?id=747743.1 and it is also frequently announced on HEUG.
  2. Once the patch is released, file a bug on Bugzilla requesting to have QA updated and patched with the FISAP PRP: https://toolbox.itwd.udel.edu/bugzilla (May require a VPN connection)
  3. When filing, select "PS SA" as the product and "UDSIS Patches and Fixes" as the component. (Example Bugs 44736 & 43511)
  4. Once the PRP and updates have been applied, we may need to ask in the bug to have the permissions list UD_FA_SUPER_PACKAGING updated so that we can access the new FISAP report through the PeopleSoft navigation.
