Housing types are used during budget building. (e.g. A student with an on campus housing status has a different COA budget than a student with an off campus housing status). The housing status field used to pull information from the FAFSA to determine the projected housing type. Starting with aid year 2025 the FAFSA no longer included housing information so institutions had to re evaluate how they would determine a student's projected housing type.
