FAFAFS (FAFSAE/FAFSAO) FAFSA Checklist

This article highlights the FAFAFS checklist that uses item codes FAFSAE/FAFSAO. It is primarily used as a FAFSA filing reminder.

What:

• FAFAFS is a PeopleSoft checklist that has separate even (FAFSAE) and odd (FAFSAO) checklist items.

When: 

• The process is typically set to auto run on weekdays at 7:00am

Where:

• Query Based Updater: Menu > Query Based Updater
• Checklist Management - Person: Menu > Campus Community > Checklists > Person Checklists

Why:

• This checklist is used as a FAFSA filing reminder and as a flag for other reminder communication.
• The FAFAFS checklist is used to identify students for further notification on the UD mobile app.

How:

• The checklists are initiated and completed using QBU. There are separate even and odd year run controls. 
• See QBU_ISIR_FILE_E for even year documentation.

Who:

• The QBU is run under account number 702050948 on a recurring schedule.

Other Notes:

• Aid years in the QBU selection queries are not hard coded and point to the UD_FA_AID_YEAR tree. The tree leaves will need to be updated for each aid year.
