Who can use it?

Students, Faculty, and Staff

What is it?

This service provides software and hardware diagnosis of computer systems, including operating systems issues, hard drives, memory, malware removal, and software installation.

Where to get it?

After initial diagnosis, Students, Faculty, and Staff can schedule to drop their devices off at the Smith Hall Computing Site located in the lower level of Smith Hall. You can read more about the Computing Site here: https://sites.udel.edu/computingsites/locations/smith-hall/

How to use it?

Click the Request Service button to fill out the Personally Owned Computer Troubleshooting Support form.  Someone will reach out to you to schedule a troubleshooting session.

What are the charges, options & fees?

For students, there is an $85 fee if the computer is infected with malware that is causing the issue. Other issues such as operating system, software or limited hardware problems (hard drive or memory) will not be charged.

For faculty or staff personally-owned systems, the $85 fee applies to all service and is payable when the system is brought in.
